Empowerment : Bayelsa State Governor, His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri on Thursday afternoon, graduates 850 Diri Skill Acquisition Trainees, provided them with Starter Packs at Late D.S.P Alamieyeseigha Memorial Banquet Hall, Government House, Yenagoa.
The scheme was sponsored by the prosperity government through the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Investment in collaboration with the Douye Diri Skills Acquisition and Empowerment Programme.
With this Governor Douye Diri led prosperity team is making deliberate effort to contributing to structural transformation and economic growth by enhancing employability and labor productivity.
The brief event had in attendance; wife of the Governor, Dr. Mrs Gloria Diri, Ag. Chief of Staff, Dr. Peter Akpe, DG, Centre for Women Development, Mrs Charity Kens Godwin, Chairman Bayelsa Volunteers, Chief Oyinkuro Lucky Asanakpo.
Others are, Special Adviser on Political Matters, Chief Collins Cocodia, Commissioner for Trade, Hon. Otokito O. Federal, officials of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), and other top government functionaries.
