School fees: FUO Students cry out for support

Students of the Federal University Otuoke (FUO) under the leadership of National Union of Bayelsa State Students (NUBSS) Federal University Otuoke Chapter are appealing to the generosity of well-meaning individuals and organisations to come to the aid of students of the institution financially to enable them pay their school fees amidst economic challenges and financial constraints.

In a letter captioned “URGENT PLEA FOR FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO SAVE EDUCATION”, and made available to Ogbiablog.com.ng , reveals that the call for financial support from the Students may not be unconnected to the fact that some students have the incomplete amount for their school fees payment while others don’t have at all.

The Students are facing the prospect of dropping out due to financial hardship, the situation has reached a critical juncture.

URGENT PLEA FOR FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO SAVE EDUCATION

We hope this message finds you well. We are reaching out with a heavy heart to bring to your attention the dire situation many of our students here in FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OTUOKE are facing regarding their school fees. Sadly, a significant number of students are unable to afford their fees, with some having only half of the required amount and others having none at all. Despite our best efforts as student leaders, the current circumstances have proven challenging, and we fear that without immediate intervention, numerous students will face the risk of being unable to continue their education. Our school portals are closing tomorrow Friday 23, and time is of the essence.

We recognize the responsibilities you bear, and we do not make this request lightly. However, we believe in your commitment to education and the betterment of our community. Your support would not only alleviate the financial burden on our struggling students but also ensure that they have the opportunity to pursue their dreams and contribute meaningfully to society. Please consider our plea earnestly, as your assistance can make a significant impact on the future of these students (our students, your students) .

We are hopeful that you will extend your support to help us bridge the financial gap and enable our fellow students to continue their education without hindrance.
