Otuoke Community, former President of Nigeria Dr. Goodluck Jonathan’s hometown was on Tuesday 21st, March 2023 agog as he led political associates, etc to grace the funeral service of his late uncle.
The service of songs for late Elder Omieworio Afeni held at Dame Patience Jonathan Square Otuoke had in attendance the Governor of Bayelsa State Senator Douye Diri, his Deputy Senator Lawrence Ewrujakpo to mention but a few of the dignitaries and government functionaries that grace the event.
Late Elder Omieworio Afeni died on February 3rd, 2023 following a brief illness. Until his death, he was a devoted Christian and celebrated Community leader. He was aged 87
He will be buried by the St Stephen’s Anglican church Otuoke on Thursday 23rd March 2023.
Meanwhile, Former President Goodluck Jonathan has expressed his gratitude to all families and friends who joined him for his Uncle’s burial for their sympathies and condolence.
Dr. Goodluck Jonathan made this known through a Facebook post.
The post reads:
Today, in Otuoke, Bayelsa State, I joined other family members for the service of songs of my uncle, Elder Omieworio Afeni who died on February 3rd, 2023.
I appreciate families and friends who had joined us for this event for their sympathies and condolences.
