TIN: Bayelsa Govt Begins Registration Exercise for Civil Servants: See Schedule

Bayelsa State Board of Internal Revenue (BIR) has commenced Tax Identification Number (TIN) Registration Exercise for  Civil Servants in the State.

According to a circular by BIR, the exercise will last for a period of month with effect from the 6th May 2022 at the Revenue House along Sir Lambert Eradiri Road, Yenagoa.

The objective of the exercise is to ensure that all civil servants are properly captured in the tax database for easy identification and consequent hitch free transactions of all types particularly banks, carried out by civil servants who though pay taxes through their PAYE deductions encounter some difficulties due to their not having the TIN

Civil Servants in the State who are not yet registered are requested to for the exercise with the following:

1. Stamped and signed BVN printout from the bank
2. One hundred Naira (N100.00) for validation of BVN

Civil servants who have already registered, but are yet to collect their TIN cards should however visit the TIN office at the board for identification and collection while those who have misplaced or lost their can also come forward with a stamped and signed BVN print-out for revalidation and collection.
