Lets take it or leave it Hon. David Lyon of the APC is a political loyalist to the former Governor of Bayelsa state in the person of Chief Timipre Sylva and at the same time Senator Douye Diri of the PDP is a political stooge and family relation to the serving and outgoing Governor that is the person of Governor Seriake Dickson.
However, one thing that is very certain as it stands is that Bayelsans regardless of their political affiliations and individual disparity are very afraid to suffer affliction for another four or eight years. The one we have seen for the last 8 years is enough therefore Bayelsans cannot afford to suffer affliction, poverty, hardship, impediment, underdevelopment for another four years or 8 years as the case may be.
Moreso, it is no longer a news that Bayelsa state is underdeveloped hence the average Bayelsan is seriously yearning for a quick turnaround of things before everything blow out of proportion.
Bayelsans who are very sincere to themselves are very tired of the usual abnormal governmental system that overtime has cause more harm than good.
At this critical time in the journey of her statehood Bayelsans across board are in dire need of someone who will walk the talk instead of talk the walk.
After the tenure of the Governor General of Ijaw kingdom in the person of late chief Alamco of blessed memory, it is obvious that Bayelsa state for a very long period of time have not make any tremendous progress.
The only major Mbiama road Chief alamco in his tenure in government constructed is the only road Bayelsans have been using to and fro all this while, no new major roads, yet we have a lot of virgin lands and we have been receiving fat allocations upon allocations. This goes to show that governors after chief Alamco lack Vision and do not have the general interest of Bayelsa state at heart.
To crown it all, madness is when we try one thing over and over again and end up with the same negative result. Therefore if Bayelsans want to get a new and positive results then we have to try new set of leaders.
