Ogbia at the verge of Retirement in Bayelsa Politics

This Post is strictly for the indigenes of Ogbia and friends of Ogbia kingdom in Bayelsa state. Before now, Ogbia used to be the Boiling point as far as politics is concerned in Bayelsa state but for the last 8years in all sincerity the Ogbia speaking people politically have been taking the back seat all because the hidden enemies of Ogbia prosperity like play like play have succeeded in sending Ogbia people to an automatic political retirement, a very worrisome situation.

Be that as it may, so many of us who are contemporary political observers thought that the current PDP family in Bayelsa state under the stewardship of Governor Dickson will pick a qualified and sellable Ogbia PDP faithful to deputize the current PDP Governorship flag bearer that is the person of Senator Douye Diri but sadly of lately what we are hearing and seeing is the reverse of it all.

Notwithstanding, the current APC family in Bayelsa on the other hand have also failed to take full advantage of the mistake committed by the present PDP in Bayelsa state thereby picking a qualified and popular Ogbia indigenes to deputize the current APC flag bearer the person of Hon. David Lyon.

From every indication, it is becoming crystal clear that the Ogbia speaking people politically and technically have been rule out from the scheme of things in Bayelsa state. I just hope these current happenings are not traceable to core ijaws in collaboration with other tribes in Bayelsa state trying to get back at the Ogbia speaking people for enjoying political power right from the days of old Rivers state to the tenure of Alamco and Sylva respectively.

Somebody should please permit me to ask this boggling question: where have we gone wrong as Ogbia people to deserve this hot slap on the face? Honestly, I put bulk of the blame on our fellow Ogbia sons and daughters who claim to be the present politically gladiators in ogbia but for the last 13years or thereabout these few Ogbia prominent politicians have been playing a self-centered politics, that is placing their individual selfish interest above the Ogbia general interest. Very pitiable situation.

Finally, I want to use this medium to send a strong message to the hiding hands behind this calamity befalling on the Ogbia speaking people not to forget in a hurry that the Ogbia people presently may have failed to put their house in order but the entire Bayelsans should take note that very soon the outstanding lost glory of late chief Amangala, chief senator Okilo and Chief Ronami Abah will rise again.

It is just a matter of time, our hidden and open political enemies will hide their face in shame. Ogbia is the light and no amount of hidden agenda will shortchange the God given position of the Ogbia speaking people in Bayelsa state and Nigeria at large.
