In their separate congratulatory messages, the National president OBYC Comrade Napuru Bassuo through his press secretary Nathaniel Goodnews while congratulating the chairman and the councillors elect, advise them not to forget their many campaign promises in a hurry.
He said: “we want to respectfully remind you that you are here to represent Ogbians as Chairman not your Constituency or family members same to the Councilors you are here to represent your various wards not your friend or family. We urge you to dare to be different and raise the bar in leadership service delivery.”

On their own part, the leadership of ORC in a statement by its cordinator
comrade Bamekpar Amasueba congratulated the winners of the councillorship and chairmanship elections urging them to bring their wealth of experience to bear in the development of the Ogbia Kingdom.
The statement reads: “the leadership of Ogbia Restoration Crusaders (ORC) laudably congratulate Hon. Ebinyu Marvin Turner, the newly elected chairman of Ogbia local government area.
We are optimistic that you will bring your wealth of experience and passion for service and development to engender the needed development in Ogbia LGA through democratic processes.”

Hon. Ebinyo Marvin Turner was declared winner having polled a total 17661 votes to defeat his closest rival of ADC whom garnered 1017 votes. All Councillorship contestants from the People Democratic Party of the 13 wards in Ogbia Local Government emerged winners respectively.
It is on record that Candidates of the Major opposition party ( All Progressive Congress) boycotted the election for what they described as “lack of confidence in the Bayelsa state Independent Electoral Commission”
