Bayelsa Flood: Gov Douye Diri Thanks President, Muhammadu Buhari, for his swift response to flood victims

Governor Douye Diri took to his Facebook page to thank President Buhari for his swift response to his call on flood victims, He wrote

Thank you Mr. President, Muhammadu Buhari, for your swift response to the alarm I raised over the devastating nature of the 2022 ravaging flood.

Thank you for taking this case as a national emergency as I requested, for us to provide succour to thousands of affected persons in more than 300 communities across six LGAs in Bayelsa State.

As a government, while we give out relief materials, we will equally strive to avoid further loss of life.

We assure all the federal agencies handling rescue and disaster management of our full co-operation when they arrive for this national intervention.

Once again, thank you Mr. President.
